My work pays homage to cherished places: your patrimony, a favorite tree, a special landscape… I work on commission to capture that feeling, on paper or on silk.

“A few years ago, we commissioned Grace to do a piece for our house that is in an open stairway. Because of the narrow and tall location over the stairs, we thought a batik was perfect in so many ways. She found the most lovely subject to fill the vertical space; a magnificent tree lined driveway that offers a partial glimpse of a stone house at the end. I most love how the eye follows the shadows on the ground, over the house and up to the blue sky.”
